    X2 speed display

I was looking at the Sieg site and found that they do a Digital speed readout for the SX2 S/N:10030 http://www.siegind.com/pdf/20090629135203_643.pdf
Has any one tried one of these and will it fit the straight X2? Has anyone done a home build for a speed display?
    Regards,
    Gerald.

Tower hobbies has a R/C engine tach. It's an optical and offers a low buck option. reading the motor RPM before gear reduction gives a much better resolution. You could run some bright LEDs in the housing and have the pick up all enclosed.

You can get a barebones version cheaper here to put in your own enclosure.

I used a C3 board from cnc4pc.com to have the rpm in Mach 3 back in the day,
still use it with the g0704.

No problem, that one does look cool and not too big either.
