Does anyone have any info on the write program? It is the last one in the Wizards on Mach 3? Is a license needed for it?

My copy (at least 3 years old) doesn't require a license.
Make sure you choose a font and click the "Write" button on screen.
Search for John Stevenson's writeup on the Write wizard. Useful info there.
This, I suspect?

Thanks for the info fellows.
I just finished the coolant tray and the back sheild, a bit of a job I might add!
The table splash guard I will use if necessary, from what I see so far, it gets in the way if you dont need it.

My copy does work, I clicked the write button twice and it loaded the code. The font must be entered first (I think). The save buttons do work, but the write button loads the code and returns to Mach.
I looked for a way to save the code to a USB device but I didnt have any luck with that.

After the file is loaded in mach. Click the "Change g-code" button at the top. It will open in notepad then you can "Save as" anywhere you want. After that close and it will return you to mach.

After using the write wizard for awhile, it seems to do a nice job. I am also looking for a text software that will write in a circular fashion, on the top of a cylinder, and not break the bank ha!
I tried the desk engrave program but it didnt work on the small radius I need, 1.750 diameter.
I also found the cnc write program written up here on the forum, around 200 dollars.
Any recommendations appreciated.

Vcarve Pro does great font engraving, and will do text on arcs.
I use it a lot for engraving with a 1/4" half-round, and it's a breeze.
Stick Font will do it and it is free.
