    Biesse 336

Bear with me, as I am totally new to this.

I have access to a Biesse 336L operating on a Rt480 platform. These machines are known for toughness and its a shame it will probably end up getting scrapped.

Appart from the smaller bed size and the controller, what other factors would restrict the use of the machine for use modern day use???

As I understand the 480 controller can only handle small programs, so complex tasks of cutting/milling out shapes etc are limited.

I have seen RTCAM that allows you to cut from a DXF, how does it work in terms of reducing the program size??? Or does it not work like that??

I am intrested in learning more about the machine, and if we could make use of it rather than scrapping it for the metal.

    Any guidance appreciated.

    Thanks
