Hello,

I have a problem with one of my ac servo motor and I need someone to tell me what could be wrong. Now on to the problem. I purchased 4 new sets of servo motor and drives. When I recieved shipment I opend boxes and try to hand turn the motor shafts (motors were not connected to drives). One motor shaft didn't rotate smoothly. It's locking in 8 positions in one hand turn. Then I tested it with drive joging function and with my controller. Motor is vibrating when it's running by drive or controller. The other 3 motors are running smooth with no vibrations with the same parameters and connected to same drive. I have made two videos about this problem

If you can feel distinct indents as you turn the motor by hand and nothing connected it usually means a short somewhere in the motor?
According to the first clip, that appears to indent much more than I would expect for a non-shorted motor?
If you short the 3 terminals out on a good motor and try the same test, it should appear the same as the shorted one.

Thanks for answer Al. I have sent motor back to factory and I hope they will sent me new one.
