I'm having problems changing parameters on an akebono CNC Lathe with a Fanuc 10T control. The parameter manual says to change bit #0 on parameter #8000 to 1, but It keeps saying "Write Protect" and wont change to 1. I have tried it in MDI and Edit with E-stop in and out. I would like to compare Comm settings if anyone has a comparable machine. Any Ideas from my fellow machinist? Thanks, Kevin

to change Parameter Write Enable (PWE) you need to do it on the setting/service screen. Cursor to 8000 and while in MDI set it to 1 and press input.
You can't change any parameter in the parameter screen until PWE is set to 1 in the other screen first.

dear,
you press the soft key setting service, then page down to 8000 (only 1 line p8000)
then you can input 1 to 8000 bit 0
then you press the soft key parameter service to change any parameter.
