    ArtCamPro 3D Training UK

I have had ArtCam Pro for a couple of years now and find it very usefull in 2D, I learned by trial and error, now I would like to be able to cut 3D parts.
I have watched 3d videos, read the Help area,of the programme but just can't seem to understand it.
Is there anyone within say 50 mile raidious of Oxford, UK who could give some advice or spend an hour showing how this programme works.
    Thanks
    Mike

Hi Mike, I´m not located in UK but I published a short tutorial "how to make organic figure model in Artcam" on my website, so maybe you will find it useful. The primary software I´m using for my modeling is Zbrush (and Cinema 4D), but one company located in my region asked me for some tips regarding the virtual sculpting techniques in Artcam. So I spent some time in their office directly with their Artcam to help them with their project and the results of this training is now avaliable on my website (in the form of a mentioned tutorial). The main fact why this tutorial is interesting/unusual is that I used "only" my tablet and Artcam´s sculpting tools, no vectors, no other functions. I found Artcam similar/comparable with the Zbrush for this kind of job, so I can 100% recommend it.

The company I mentioned is planning some new projects so maybe I will continue with tutorial publishing. Hope you (or other artcam users) will find it useful.

I looked at your site but could not see the tutorial, what I cant figure out is the design of a 3D object Artcam Pro is a CadCam package I find the Cad programme very difficult to understand.

    Thanks

    Hi Paul

I am a model engineer currently making model railway engines in Gauge1, I have had my CNC mill for five years now and use it successfully in 2D self taught, I have made motion parts in 3D by pasting together 2D files and using a fourth axis.
But I know what the machine is capable of; I have ArtCam Pro and Solidworks and have tried to follow on line tutorials but just can’t seem to get my head around the process.
I have looked at your site and see the service you offer, but I would like to be able to create my own drawings, would you consider showing me the way?

    Regards

    Mike
