    Fanuc 10T Alarm code EX-23

    EX 23 Says in the manual....
    Thermal Trip
    Power Drivin Motor x/y/chip conveyor motor/work conveyor motor.

    This is a used star vnc32 machine with a fanuc 10T Controler.

    Not sure how to find the problem. Please help!!!!!!!!

    All of the EX messages are ones that the machine builder (not FANUC) have posted. The machine manual indicates that you have a thermal trip in the conveyor motor. The easiest way for you to solve it would be to find the conveyor motor circuit in the machine electrical diagrams and identify the breaker, etc that are inline with this motor.

    You may have to reset a thermal overload switch (or replace a burned out thermal trip element if it is an older unit). You may have a physically seized mechanical system or a problem in the motor winding if resetting the thermal trip doesn't solve the problem.
