Homing with a slaved axis with mach 3

I have my A slaved to my X axis and everything works fine motion wise but when I try to reference home it only moves the A axis and not X and A together.

    Can anyone help.

In Machs gen. config. there is a check box to home the slave with the master axis.

Do you have one switch, or one each for X and A?

Yes, Gerry is right. If you home the axis separately then you must have a switch/sensor for each motor. After that, you can then slave them together to work as one. If you configure Mach to home then together, then you can use just one switch/sensor. I home mine separately to square my gantry and then after homing they are slaved together.

I have a sensor on each.

So I'm gathering to have it auto square I'll have to have them home separately?

If so are you guys just jogging close to the switches and then referencing home?

You do NOT want to check that box. It's for people using only ONE switch.

No, they home together. Do you have both home switches set up in ports and pins? The X and A home switches need to use their own separate pins? Sounds like the A switch may not be setup?
