I was given the task to change tool call numbers. Which means instead of calling T2 for the tool in pot 2 i would call a serial number of the tool in pot 2 which could be up to a 8 digit number. To do this i was changing the tool type number to my serial number and inputing T********;M6;.

What happened was it started to go get the tool from the correct pot then stopped. When I checked the tool manager I saw that it changed the pot number and MG to 0. So now the machine will not do anything because the tool pot number that it is supposed to be getting is 0.

So how do I reset the pot number and MG to the correct number?

It's on the builder side, not a fanuc thing. You need to post make and model of the machine.

you say you changed the tool type number. can't you just put it back to what it was on the screen where you changed it?

I can and did but it didn't change anything else back
