Sprutcam 7 V 1.6 . I perform several operations on a workpiece machining one side of my part and then save the results as an STL file ( the only save or export option). Now I set up a new file turning my part to another side and import the STL file to be my new workpiece. It imports as a mesh in the workpiece file tree, but when I create a new operation, all I see is a primitive workpiece box around my part and the STL file is somehow merged with the actual part. What am I doing wrong?

If the problem is the way the model appears on the Simulation screen, you may not be doing anything wrong. I think it's just another Sprut quirk. On the Simulation screen, try changing the simulation method to "Solid" (the other options are Voxel3D and Voxel5D) and see if that looks more like what you expected.

It's not the way the model appears, but that it does not become an actual workpiece although it was imported under the workpiece file tree. The workpiece used for subsequent operations remains a primitive box.
