We've recently bought a Koike Gammatec plasma cutting machine GAMMATEC – Koike Europe B.V. (EN)
With that macine, there's the katana software incluced (KATANA – Koike Europe B.V. (EN)). We think that this software can only cut shapes that are already programmed on the computer, or import .dxf files, and that you can not create own shapes with this software.
My question is now: DO you have experience with this software? Are we right by thinking that another software is needed to create custom shapes to cut? If so, what's the best software, including nesting, to cut 'inox' or stainless steel?

Its true that you cant create new drawings on the new Katana controller. You can modify the standard shapes on the CNC.

If this still doesnt help, you will need nesting software.
Koike is official dealer of sigmanest. (this would provide you with support of you software from Koike if you purchase Sigmanest)

Otherwise there are other nesting software packs available.
