    motor revs per mm

can anyone teach me how to calculate the gear & rack.
I have 14 tooth pinion attach to the motor.
and 48 and 16 tooth on a common shaft.
the 14 tooth pinion drives the 48 tooth gear and the 16 tooth gears meshes with the rack gears.
the pitch of the rack =3.14 module=1
how do i calculate the motor revs per mm ? thank you

One turn of the motor drives the carriage 14 /48 * 16 = 4.667 teeth

    4.667 * 3.142 mm = 14.663 mm.

    Motor turns per mm = 1/14.663 = 0.0682

If you are using a stepper motor - steps per mm may be more useful

    200 step motor (2 phase full step ) would be 200 * 0.0682 ~ 13.36 s/mm
    400 step motor (2 phase half step) would be 400 * 0.0682 ~ 27.28 s/mm
    500 step motor (5 phase full step ) would be 500 * 0.0682 ~ 34.1 s/mm
    1000 step motor (5 phase half step) would be 1000 * 0.0682 ~ 68.2 s/mm

    and so on
