    Laser cutter wont cut/engrave

    Hi
I'm new to this laser cut systems. But from the start there is a problem even though the company that I bought machine from says that everything should work good. I had to say reading the posts on these forum these past few days I learned more than ever . But still I have a problem cutting /engraving.
I have a 80 wCO2 laser tube work table 900 x600 mm MPC6515 motion card and LaserCut 5.3 software. First I had a problem instaling drivers for MPC6515 and now I can not cut through mdf or acrylic not even engraving like I thought it should. I also tryed to engrave on hard wood or do the grade engrave but the result is almost the same every time --I get marking or 1mm deepest engraving or almost 2mm deep cut.
Can someone please help me trough this. What should I do ???
I lost a week trying and no good response from the company (they are from Australya but the machine is Chinese)

    Thank You
    Goran

First check your mirrors and lens to be clear.
Than take some self adhesive paper tape and put on the window before last mirror.
Check if the laser makes signs in the middle.
In all positions (upper left, upper right, lower left and lower right) must be well centred.
Set short pulse and 50% power in LaserCut or what you have.
Do it as shortly as you can.
Do not fire the tape or you will make your 3 mirror dirty.
    Also check 3 mirror setting.
Take a piece of tape and set down on laser output hole below lens.
Press the tape with a finger to impress trace where the hole is.
Than make another laser shot and check the tape if the sign is in the EXACT CENTER. Must be. And should be round.
    That is all.

    Problem Cut/engrave -bit better

Well I just try moving the tube a bit and I got a new result -- the laser made a cut 5mm deep in acrylic but on the upper left side. Moving it on the right I can get only 2mm deep cut. So Is there a chance that only a tube possition is the problem or should I set the mirrors as well.

    Thanks

Goran, here is a good youtube video that shows the complete setup procedure and mirror alignment. Hope this helps.

You have to make sure the laser come out from the head is the stongest and smallest!!. that means the laser from mirrors to lens are in exactly the middle !!
to make sure the laser can cut through and work in the right way. good luck.
