I am looking to buy rogersmachine Encoderboard to close the loop with my AC servo motors and drives with mach3. But before I proceed, I have two questions and I need help from you people. PLEASE !!!

1- My stock servo drives have differential encoder while the interface card as linked above is single ended. is it alright if i connect differential encoder to single ended interface ?

2- If it's not a good idea to connect differential encoder with single ended interface card then I would have to buy an expensive Hicon CPU from vital systems. BUT, is mach3 capable to handle differential encoder ?

The rogers encoder interface will really not gain you anything if you're using servos.
All it will do is stop the machine if it loses position.
Your servo drives should fault if they lose position, which is basically the same thing.

My servo drive should fault means it's not necessary to feed the position feedback to mach3 ? And the drive will correct the position itself ?

One more thing please, that what to check in servo drive manual to see whether it's having this function or not ?
