Hi, I'm a newbie as far as cnc goes so please be gentle. We currently have a AXYZ 4004 single phase machine with a Elte 5hp spindle on with a emmerson inverter. We are soon moving in to premises that has 3 phase and would like to convert the machine to 3 phase. Now question is for people how simple a job is this as have been told its just a case of changing wiring. Is this the case or is their more to it then that. Any help would be great

just a 'Simple' case of changing wiring

Well first you have to find out if the 3 ph supply is 415v? as you are in the UK, so presumably you were running off of 240v 1ph. including 1ph to the VFD this would be derived from 415v 3ph using 1 phase and star neutral for the 240v?
So simply going to 3 ph, you would need a VFD with a 415v input?
If 415 between phases then the 240v 1ph circuitry could stay as it is.
