how to run servo using PLC

    Hi all,

I am new to servo motor. Currently I am keen to learn Servos using PLC control.
I have with me a Yaskawa SGDP servopack with yaskawa servo and a Keyence 24T PLC.
How do i get the servo running?
Is it the same as stepper motor? By sending pulses to the servopack inputs?

    Thanks

Depends on what PLC you are using, many of the PLC manuf. have step/dir or analogue control for both stepper and servo.
You have to become conversant with the PLC you are using.
