Starting to think about my next build

    Hi all,
Just starting to think about building a bigger more robust router based on the automated woodworks design (automatedwoodworks.com) but using rack and pinion as the drive train.
We are moving in a couple of months and our new place has a much larger workshop/office, hence the option of a bigger CNC machine comes into play.

What I'm wanting to find is an Australian source for the rack and pinion that doesnt charge the earth for it.
Anyone out there have some suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

On the software side consider emc2 over mach... being free gives it a lot of points in the starting blocks.
I used it for the last couple of years and never had a problem.
    Just my $0.02.

Thanks mkc2 I will check them out.
Russell, been using Mach3 for a long time and very happy with it. From what ive seen emc2 looks really good, but for me it's the old dog, new trick scenario.

I still haven't ruled out using a twin ball screw set up like a Joes hybrid either.
just looking at all my options.
I can see it turning into a bit of a mix and match between both designs in the end
