    Home Brew 4th Axis

I have been developing a way to engrave on a cylindrical surface using only a three axis machine.
This picture shows a handle for a walking stick that I engraved two different ways using my device.
If interested in files for building your own 4th axis, you can go to this link: CNC Shark Forum • View topic - Bob's Super Simple 4th Axis

Thanks Bob Jr. I'm new to CNC but this sure will come in handy later on for me.

Good thinking but it is not unique. Someone had done the same on their laser cutter to make jack-o-lanterns. I first saw it Halloween 2010.

    Hi Matt,
    Thanks for your comment.
I would be curious as to how this was accomplished with a jack o lantern.
If you could steer me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

    Pumpkin carving

    Thank you Matt,
That is real nifty. I would have a lot harder time using a router for a project like this.
Thank you for taking the time to look this up.
