Upgrading from MP03 to MPC6515 controller

Can anyone help me please?! I contacted my supplier and they said my machine could be converted to the MPC6515 Controller and then I could use LaserCut 5.3; In my mind I thought this was a simple process, however it has turned out to be a little more complicated. I have attached photos of my current controller and the new controller; My difficulty is what wires on the old controller actually are!?
I know that it needs to be completely disconnected and removed, however I would like to label each wire with a Name!
I have also attached a PDF sent to me to help me, if you believe that has the answers please let me know!?
The PDF says I must use a 24 Volt power supply, I will need to get one as my current supply is 5 volts.
Also the MPC Hardware manual towards the back shows what wires go into the new board, I include it here so that it may help the knowledgable to help me. Thanks in advance, Amos

Umm the 6515 is PWM based, the moshi and newlydraws aren't.

Sadly it's not as simple as just changing the pad and board....

New PSU is a requirement too.

    It's not a simple upgrade

    best wishes

Really Very complicated work. I suggest you directly buy another USB mode machine.

Thanks for your replies, however, my current machine currently runs on LaserCut 5.1 and that also uses PWM, This new card, uses LaserCut 5.3 and apart from improvements on LaserCut 5.1 the basics of operation are similar, it seems to me that the main problem is identification of wiring and addition of a 24volt supply?? But that is why I have posted here, for advice. Amos

    Hi Amos,

That's a little clearer now, what made you upgrade from 5.1 to 5.3?

Wiring I can't help with , Leetro may be the best people to ask?

    best wishes

Dave, I could not get the current software/hardware to work on Windows 7.
That means another Computer in the workshop, also my understanding is you can do more / better with LaserCut 5.3, Amos

TBH there is very little difference, to get it to work with Win7 you just need to disable UAC from control panel for the current user.

The same will apply to 5.3 as well, the benefits just aren't there for the extra it costs to get it working, if your running 12 hours a day 7 days a week then you may benefit on odd occasions but for day to day running you won't notice any real difference.

    best wishes

    Hi
Do not worry. This is nothing special.
    You can do that.
Now I am a bit busy but send me a private message in the end of week.
    Will help you.
Now, just mark all cables with numbers and make safe copy of existing wiring.

    THIS is what I wanted

This is the help I was asking about, see attached breakout sheet for the P68 breakout board, just knowing these makes my intended upgrade so much easier. Amos
