This alarm is on an Okuma Cadet LNC-8C

    Complete alarm is:

Talked to service on this problem. They said that due to needing special disks, we would need to schedule service to come in and change out this battery. Case closed I guess.

Guys, I'm new here and I seriously haven't a clue on the basics. Could someone break down what that means? I've been looking at tutorials but it still doesn't register in my head.

had to do same on LU15. batteries for memory backup died. they replaced batteries & reinstalled system op parameters from disks. i was told you can get these & do it yourself, but sounded like something you could screw up fairly easily if not done in order. we did get the service guy to leave us copies of the disks. problem is, they're only good for that machine. we other have LU15s, but every machine has it's own set of operating parameters. don't know if this was much help, but it made us aware of battery changes.

Yep, same thing happened here. Service came in and did the battery change out. We were able to get the disks from service. Service said that it would work on all the machines that we have that have the same control on it, which is the 700 series.
