    Z- Axis loosing steps

    Hi,

i have an Optimum Bf 20l which i converted to cnc with the cnc conversion set.
Everything is working fine except the z- axis.
I can controll it with manual joging and it works great.
But if i try to run a g-code the machine goes to e.g. +3.000 and should then plunge to -2.000. Instead it only plunges to something between these number(and never consistent!). Also the feedrate is a lot slower. As i said this problem occurs just by running a gcode, with normal control with the arrow keys there are no problems.
I already tried to reduce / increase the feeds and also the acceleration.
I also tried a different kernel speed.
The power supply should also be ok (this problem occurs just when plunging down!)

Any suggestions why the z- axis is behaving like that?
    Thank You!

One thing I have learned about Mach 3 it is sensitive to information input and if it is not correct it will drive you nuts I know this info is very general but you have to have a baseline and there is enough guys on the Mach site that will help you Step by step. In Mach3 PDF there is a setup to follow. I would go to the Mach site for that support it is easy to do that... You can't go wrong if you go to the source...

I'd look closely at the g-code. Can you post it here?
