Power and speed settings for Chinese Laser

I hope I am putting this post in the right spot. My apologies if it is not.

I have just purchased a 120W Hurricane Laser. It should be arriving at the end of the month. I am trying to learn as much as I can before it arrives.

Does anyone have a list of speed and power settings for different materials for both raster and vector? My in laws have a 35w epilog and it came with such a chart. Any thoughts or references?

    Thanks in advance!

    I usually start here...

    Synrad's Laser Processing Calculator

Your machine will have the input in mm/sec, so you may need to do a little math. I keep a text document on my desktop that I use to record settings as I go, so I have some reference to go back to. You'll quickly get a feel for it, and be able to fine tune from there.

Do you happen to have settings for engraving as well? A good starting place would be nice.

we usually set the engraving speed on 400-500mm and the power in 30-50.

To engraving slightly, the speed can be faster
To engraving deepm the speed can be lower and power a bit bigger.

you can set the speed and power accoring the depth you want.

Isit possible to put a collimating lens on my 150 Watt laser. If so, Which one would you recommend. We are having a problem with our honeycomb not being level. When we focus the laser in one spot it cuts fine but when the beam gets to a part of the table that is higher it does not cut through.

Suggest you choose 63.5 or 100mm distance focus lens.

Try use the bigger power and lower speed

for the honeycomb problem, is it possible put some part under honeycomb and make them in same level? This is really big problem to cause different cutting effection in different place
