    NL1500 Main clamping cylinder leak

We have six NL 1500 about 6 years old and almost all of them had main clamping unit hydraulic leak within 2 years and ended up replacing them. Some of them had hair line crack and could not be rebuilt. Some of the machines have been done twice.
I like to know what is causing it? Main clamp hydraulic is700 psi, is it too high? Anything with hydraulic can cause it?
    Thanks

What does the book say for recommendations and adjustments? 700 seems more than double what you need. Surprised it will even go that high. What happens when you turn it down to 200? Do you get stock movement while machining?

You have 700 on the chuck clamp?

Waaaay to high. It should have a tag right on the front of the machine what the max pressure allowed is for clamping.
