Hi Community,

I have a Okuma LB10 with OSP5000L-G from 86 after a repair a PCB was changed and now i need to reinstall the original software for the maschine, however its on a 8" floppy disc which the Okuma LB10 with OSP5000L-G does not have a drive for - Please help me find the software as a file for download - I've looked everywhere - Thanks

(I've never heard of a 8" floppy). Maybe you can get it transferred to something else.

8" floppies are from the 70's and early 80's.

contact Okuma quoting your machine serial number and they may provide it for free or a small fee.

It wont matter what format the software is on. The 8" disk drive had a board that was inserted in to the card rack to communicate with the drive.

Ahh. about when we got our 1st cordless phone & 8-track tapes. (We still had that party line though so we had to wait for the neighbors to get off the phone so we could use it).:cheers:

You may want to contact your distributor about borrowing or renting an 8" floppy drive and interface board, most of the distributors have a kit for the older 3.5" drives, a few of the older ones still have a an 8" or two lying around.
