    trying out with sample file

I opened up the 3D example and applied the advanced roughing toolpath.

The function: CAM Part/milling tools/compute all toolpath does nothing
When I post the code it seems incomplete.
I can't save or load features

This is the same for me on two different machines.

Save & Load Feature / Compute all

In demo mode, the compute all and save/load are disabled by design, so it's working the way it's designed to. In order to unlock those options you need a licensed version.

Seperate Chamfers from Features? (Wish list) :-)

    .
    Al

Still not able to seperate chamfering from a Feature in V25 so that all chamfers in a program can be done in a single tool change, currently have to make a number of Chamfering Features to be able to achieve this.

Also again on chamfering can we be able to choose the same Chamfer tool eg Chamfer Mill for all chamfering, currently the software only throws up a "Chamfer Tool" for chamfering drilled holes and a "Chamfer Mill" for profile/pocket chamfers, currently means having to have 2 tools in the machine when one would do and extra tool changes

Any idea if this will be in a V25 update anytime soon ? ? ?

    Regards
    Rob

a issue i have ran into is when using the chamfer option...the sharp or flat option always defaults to the flat...when saving...even after i have selected sharp....i have to always go back and double check and save multiple times for it to stay selected as sharp

it seems when i upgraded to the pro license i have developed issues that were not there when i was just a standard user...

okay how about this issue i ran into today...when using adaptive rough and selecting "bottom" check box and entering in a value lower (.001) below the top of the the adaptive rough boundary has choose....te program WILL NOT machine the value entered and for that will not even get close to the area (.064) in my case.

take that (.001) out and it will work right...

so i am i getting this right...i can not go deeper than what the software chooses for me ...???

Alright, I puzzled over this for a few days but I still can't get what you mean here.

Can you try to explain this again? Maybe a file?

    Build 678

I can't get BobCAD to output anything other than G54 (Fixture Offset 1).

Different posts, different programs. I can't get it to change.

I only have one Machine Setup in the programs I've tried.

For what it`s worth I only have the old Demo Build 629 on this PC and it is outputting the offsets OK on any/all machine setups

Basic Fanuc 0M Post, no "tweaks".

    N04 T01 M06
    N05 S3880 M03
    N06 G90 G59 X5.8108 Y2.8412 (Here I selected Work Offset 6 and it has correctly output G59)
    N07 G43 H01 Z2.54 M08
    N08 Z52.54
    N09 Z2.54

So it looks like a Build 678 thing

I`ll check out a V25 version with Build 678 later when I am at the PC that has that version and let you know what I get

    Regards

Think I see what's going on.

If you are going to use an offset other than the default (1), you must set it first before creating any features. If you go back and edit the Machine Setup, all features created AFTER will have the new offset. All previous features, you have to manually go into each one and change them.

Previous versions would update the existing features if you changed the fixture offset in the Material Edit dialog. Not so now. No biggie, now I know.

    Hello all,

On V23 I could choose the line style in the lower right corner but on V25 it does not bring up the options. Has anyone else noticed this?

    Thanks

    SBC Cycle,

Glad to know that it isn't only me. I thought maybe I had a bad install or something.
I have tried both Windows and BobCAD fonts with the same result.
And it isn't just in the Layers, it happens everywhere. Try to put any text with a lower case "p" on a drawing and the result is the same.

On another note, there are a couple of other issues.

V25 crashes rather consistently when opening files done in V23. This happens with just drawing files and those with features for programing.
Sometimes the issue can be resolved by opening the V23 drawing in V24, saving it and then opening with V25.
Not a tremendous issue, but it can be frustrating.

Also, I believe that importing tool data from V23 can crash V25. I have been unable to import V23 tool data and then open V25 without it crashing.
Remove the tool data files and everything returns to normal.

    P seems to work here....

    P Not working ...
My apologies, apparently there is a fix for it being worked on that I was unaware is on my computer... This issue will be resolved fully with the release of the next update.
