We just purchased a 1998 Haas HL-6.
Anytime we hit e stop or have an alarm that kills servo power on our hl-6 the Axis plunges ~6 in.
Whats broken?

Does that model have a pressurized ram on it as a counterbalance?
I've replaced the spring on an old HL. It only had one big coil spring, and the hole in the bracket that the spring attached to was flame cut, with razor sharp edges. I'm thinking this is one of the dumbest designs I've ever seen, next to the turret lift mechanism, that is.
One of the springs have been broken, there is a new stronger spring Haas PN 59-8220A SPRING, please contact your local Haas factory outlet for pricing information.
