The stretch feature is a big plus.Especially for Artwork with engraving.Check out using Stretch with Text.Have to Vectorize first. It opens up all kind of creative possibilities not before offered. This V25 is lookin like a winner in a lot of ways.

the preview of of what you are drawing,
for most everything lines to solids
The biggest improvements for me are the stock creation and machining UCS selection. Not having to move the model around to get it into the correct position is great.
Also being able to select edges directly from the solid model for feature boundaries is a big plus.
I think that V25 is a big step up in usability from V24.
I went from 23 to 25.Don't know if this was in 24,but quick trim is huge.
From the Help Files::""BobCAD-CAM V25 is now offered as both a 32-bit and 64-bit native application. The addition of the 64-bit capabilities allows you to take advantage of more of the system memory for large toolpath calculations and simulation.
The 3 Axis Pro toolpaths are now multi-threaded, meaning they take advantage of all of the processing power of multi-core computers. What this means is the 3 Axis Pro toolpaths access all available processors of the host computer for computing the 3 Axis Pro toolpaths.""
System seems a lot more stable on larger files. This means they had to re-write all software, correct or no??
Facing got a huge makeover, much, much better. Can even pick surfaces.Good job BoB.
(Burr)
No........
But the 64 bit and all the other technical jargon,a good thing, right??or no.....
Yes. It should be real cool. No longer limited in dataset size (Like large stl's) or complex toolpaths. RAM and muticore processing is a jump!
But to get 64 bit isnt necessarily a re-write of the whole software... Just the ability to program against it. Seems they have that now! You'll probably see huge leaps in the next updates and uprades comming.
I noticed I have not managed to"FREEZE" BoB yet.No task manager to see program not responding,etc.Yet........
64 bit is what i am trying out, it's good for me
toolpathing does seem faster on 3d stuff
a 10.6 meg file opens in v24 32bit 23-25 seconds
same file on v25 64 bit 18 seconds there is a difference
i open the aztec calendar in v25 opens twice as fast
but the big difference is in like working with the file
say zoom in v 24 32bit jumps and have to wait a little
same thing in v25 64bit do what you want zoom, pan, what ever no hesitation
double post
yeah,I opened the Aztec Calendar too.Applied simple engrave, everything faster and smoother.dwood didn't u make that?Sometime when I have nuthin else to do I want to take a stab at that with a big chunk of aluminum and have it anodized or chromed. On list of things to do when all caught up.Might be a while though.
Quick Trim was in V24.
Zoom Normal,check out.Love it.
