    core casting

    Hi

i have a core for an investment casting part that has details that are .020". unfortuneately i am getting no fill zones in this area during our wax mold (the mold before we fire it and becomes a full ceramic core)

any suggestions on mixes? ratio composition or just commerically avaiable mixes?

I have maxed the temerpature and has not filled these areas. Pressure is also maxed

I hear you can add "heaters" into the dye but that is time consuming and prolly would not help since we actually torched the dye until it was hot to the touch and it didnt fix our non fill areas.

I don't know if I can be any help, having trouble picturing your problem. For no fill in an area the usual fixes are, more heat in mold and metal, more head pressure, and usually the most important, more vents and risers.

If you're trapping air, no amount of heat or presure will fix it. You need a vent.
