    Lasercut 5.3

    Has anyone used the "grade engrave" ? Curious to what it will do, any one have an example ?

    X2. Have no clue what it does, and the help files in the program dont open for me. Like nothing is there. And not much in any of the manuals I recieved on the disc either.

    From what I have read in the manual it engraves the same but the high points slope down to the low points, I.e. there is a 'grade' dpwn the wall instead of a steep cliff.

    Imagine I engrave away the area around some letters for a stamp so the letters are standing higher than the surrounding area. The walls that support the letters are at 90 degrees to the base.

    With grade engrave it is like the letters are supported on a pyramid shape with a flat top which is the letter. Best I can do without a picture I am afraid. Hope it makes some sense.

    The idea being that this gives better support to the high areas than a traditional engrave.

    Designed for use when making rubber stamps

    take the letter "i" in lower case, that's a real small point at the top of the letter, without support it would likely just bend

    GRADE ENGRAVE usaully used on rubber stamp engraving.
    it will give a slope surface. can make the stamp mark more beautiful.
