    Question VF-1 and VF-3 PC Hookup Questions

    One of the clients I work with has a VF-1 and a VF-3. They want me to connect each one to it's own PC via rs-232 serial cable. I have almost no experience with CNC machines so I was hoping that you guys would be able to shed a bit of light on the subject for me. Some of the questions I have are:

    1. Does the PC need any software to connect?
    2. Are there any common issues I should look out for?


    Any advice or words of caution is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    All the documentation should be available in the Haas mill manual. You can also get direct telephone assistance from Haas.
