    Today's Hernia in Progress

Well, Harbor Freight is having a tent sale, and I probably should have bought the big ol' compressor that had the regulator broken off for $200, but instead I picked up a NIB tool grinder. Only 47 kilos.

Anyone know where to find a diamond wheel to use on one side? I understand that the wheels that come with that are pretty crappy on a good day.

Also, looking to get the 12x36 lathe in sometime during the next few weeks - is anyone in St. Louis with a hankerin' for beer? It's only a little incline to the garage...

Any compilation of "small machine rigging tips" out there?

How about Aluminum Oxide? Any suggestions around that? Basically just going to be touching up HSS and a few carbide lathe cutters, but I'm going to try to stay with indexable for a lot of the lathe ops...

Fine on the HSS, but I don't think you'll be happy with it on carbide. You can sort-of "sharpen" carbide with other abraisives, but because they are softer they are really just chipping away the edge. To cut carbide you will need diamond.
