    Angry V25 On a Laptop

Anyone running V25 on a laptop? I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 and it will crash when exiting simulation modules. I was told you need a video card with its own memory. Need a list of laptops that would cure this problem-thanks.

I was running V24 on a 2008 era Gateway laptop that had a dedicated graphics card (1GB) - ran great. The motherboard gave up right before V25 so I can't say how it would have ran but compared to my desktop that does not have dedicated graphics (it's a Dell Optiplex model) my new laptop is very fluid.

I am on a Dell Precision M6600, certified for use with SW/AutoCAD and what not. I saw a lot of good ones for a whole lot less than what I paid on the Dell Outlet site. Check it out.

I'm sure there are less expensive solutions but I have enough to do in the day without tinkering with my laptop to force it to run something.

OKAY about your Dell. I ran V24 on my laptop dell 1545 until I ungraded to v25. Every other function seems to work even simulation but when you exit thats when I have a problem that is with win 7. I have a desk top Dell GX270 with XP it is very slow but does not crash with v25. My laptop is a 64 ver. and the old dell is a 32ver.

John ps. I will check Dell site out thanks
