    Floating Torch Head

I haven't built a floating head design before but I'm going to in the next few days. I wanted to get some design input from the forum.

Please put a few photos of your design so I don't have to re-invent the wheel.

The two photos are of a simple design I saw today. I'm assuming the torch is holding down the switch. The torch hits the plate and stops, the Z continues to move down and activates the switch. And then the Z axis stops moving.

From there the top of the plate can be figured.

What you think? Seems simple enough.... Should the switch be mounted on top and work opposite? Or is it 6 one way and a half a dozen the other?

I don't like the magnetic torch holder though.... I'll do something else with that.

Thanks for your photos and suggestions.
