Easy Q, what, where to get battery backup?

Machine currently has a lithium battery, about D size, with wires electrical taped to either end. Pretty sure its just gave up. However, Im wondering if the minimal connection doesnt have some relation to the issues Ive had with the machine for a while. So wanting something with nice solid connections.

So whats the standard for replacing these batteries? Searched google for 1/2 hour with nothing.

The battery has soldered connections, my first service call 20+ years ago was replacing a battery and re-entering all the parameters.

I will look at my old Cent4 stuff to try to find some answers for you, I have to get to the shop and dig through the manuals.

    McMaster-Carr "D" size 3.6 volt, part # 6451k12.
If your batttery has died you will lose all machine parameters when you turn off power.
