while trying to boot my mori mill nv5000 it booted to

BUSREADY......
OK

It then just sits there and will not go any further, while rebooting many times the screen said.

Any ideas. on how I can get my machine booted up so I can run it?

Open rear of operator panel. Find small screw on top of CPU to remove small cover. With power off, eject the PCMCIA card on top of CPU. Re-insert PCMCIA card and try powering up.

I tried reinserting the card but the machine is frozen at

Sounds like the mapps software got corrupted, or the main board of the Fanuc has a problem. Look in the enclosure and see what number is on on the fanuc main board.

8=State where CPU is not started after power on(boot system). (main board may be faulty)

Think you lost the Fanuc main board....

Ya, thats a fun one. Hope you have everything backed up. You will need to zero return the axis, magazine, and check tool height. If you get stuck, let me know, i should have an SRAM back up for a NV, just need to know if its a NV5000 Alpha or older NV5000, and what options.
