    Toyoda FA 450 ATC problems

We have a toyoda FA 450, the main arm of the tool changer has been slipping off of the tool in the magazine during tool changes. We have taken the arm apart and it seems fine, has anyone else had this problem?

    Toyoda FA450 atc

if anyone else has this problem check the alignment of the atc arm with the tool in the magazine the magazine or the atc unit may need to be adjusted

    Alignment could be an issue...

I have also ran into situations where the pins in the S arm that holds the tools in position during a change had chips smashed in them. These pins are spring loaded and if a chip gets wedged in between the pin and the hole you loose the timing in which these must perform. It's a cam driven system. You also won't get adequate pressure to hold the tool into the S arm during it's rotation.
