    Mach3 External Estop Requested

I was able to install Mach 3 and get it to run after Mach 2 kept rebooting my compaq pentium 4 machine. Now when it loads, it gives me an error of External Estop Requested and I cannot reset it. I went into the setup and saw it in the Input Signals but how do I turn it off? I do not have anything other than the xylotex 3 axis driver board connected to the parallel port and 3 nemo 23 motors. I don't have any safety switches or anything.

And second, if I can get past this, how do I get to the jog screen in Mach 3? I can't remember how I did it when trying Mach 2 on my main machine. All I want to do right now is see the computer and driver board make the motors turn.

    Thanks!

Go to Config>Ports and Pins>Inputs. Find estop and toggle the active low from whatever it is to whatever it isn't. That should do it.

Tab key to open the jog window. ONce open you can drag it over if you like, but I believe you have to drag it twice before it "remembers".

Also, the Arrow keys jog the X and Y, Page up/down for the Z. Hold shift for fast jog.

Thanks! I took care of the estop and it resets now. I guess I have to do more setups or something in the config because nothing happens when I try running one of the wizards. I goes through all of the lines but nothing moves at all. Its like the driver board is not even there.

Are there any other setups I should do to atleast make it move the motors? Or a way to confirm its reading the hardware?

    I'm probably skipping many steps!

Go to www.machsupport.com and watch the videos. They'll walk you through the setups necessary to get it working.

I was wondering where the videos were! I knew I had seen a link for them somewhere. I did get Mach 2 to load now after running the SpecialDrivers.bat file as stated on their support FAQ page.

I went to the manual screen and tried jogging and nothing happened. I'm going to watch the videos and set it up now.

    Thanks!
