Drafts: Tips for vendors and tips for RFQ writers...

Based upon my experiences, I've written up some notes for both vendors (job shops) and RFQ writers. Please see these drafts:

I'd love to hear comments and suggestions.

    Thanks!

Very good tips especialy the bit about drawings- you wouldn't beleive some of the RFQ's I get over the phone- like "Well, it's a kinda diffraction grating design, but with straight lines instead of circular... hmmm I might want it sliced into ten bits too actualy" and all this while I'm trying to machine too *scratches head* lol

Nice concise work and very complete.

E-Mailing the drawing is a good idea as well- I've seen faxes turning b's into 6's and 6's into 8's lol.

[EDIT]Also, it's a good idea to have a security classification on your drawings like "Commercial in Confidence" and some Copyright Classification so that no- one can nick your design. Drawing should always have an issue number so that when changes are made you can be sure you're getting the most up to date designed items.[/EDIT]
I love deadlines- I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.
