Is it best to use my through spindle coolant continuously or only when I need it sometimes I might go a month without using it

if i were you i would use it all the time, you invested a lot of money in it. now you can run your machine faster and get better finish and shorter cycle time.

Run whenever it makes sense to. My shop has a dnm500 that the TSC rarely gets used and as a result, when I went to use it, the seals had dried out and it started leaking coolant all around the spindle head. To combat that, I've basically got a warmup program that gets run once a week to make sure that everything stays lubed up.
