    Acme Leadscrew price

I need to get a replacement leadscrew for my mill, a Clausing 8520. It’s a 32” long shaft where the leadscrew taking up approximately 22” of that shaft being threaded, and constructed from a 7/8th diameter stock. I got a quote for $550 for the screw from Clausing, but I’m sure I can do better than that by either buying from someone else or even buying just an acme screw and lathe it down.

So what should I expect to pay for an Acme screw of this size?

Enco has 7/8-6 (Page 621 of cat.)
    part no. 402-0208 / 36" = $15.14 and
part no. 402-0228 / 6' = $23.62 (oil finish steel) you can get others also.
    Just search their website use-enco.com
