Those are having just the options, not the NC parameters for that CNC (Centrum 1000) do have that CNC's parameter set. the once containing some values in 0-9999 addresses!!!?

this is all happening because, I dont know hoe to put the parameters using the tape reader, nor i dont exactly know the serviceble condition of the tape reader unit.
any how if you know how to, insert the parameters using the tape reader, pls let me know.

For a Nominal Fee, I can convert your Paper Tape to a PC friendly File and also supply a print out of the data.
    PM me for more info.

On the standard 6M control there was ONE set of Offsets 01 to 99

The same offset data was used for Both, tool Lengths, and tool Radius

If your tool changer has 20 tools, use offset numbers 01 to 20 for the Lenghts, and offset numbers 31 to 50 for the tool radius.
add 30 to the tool number for the radius offsets

To enter a value in the offset, you place the cursor on the offset number,
Enter a P then the value you want to enter. press input

In your program you use G43 H01 look up the value in offset 01
G41 or G42 D31 look up the value in offset 31

    Hello!
I have a John Ford machine Fanuc 0M command, and is working well. Would you please tell me how to backup all the important data (parameters, macro variables, offsets...) so that in case of a memory reset, to be able to do a data restauration.
    Thank you!

Be sure this bit is set to "0" or your tape reader wont' work.
I am in a similar situation in that I need to read parameters from my tape. My SETTING page has INPUT DEVICE 2 = 1, and I need to change it to 0 as you described.

However, I can't figure out how to change it! I move the cursor over to the proper line, press 0 and INPUT, but nothing happens. I read somewhere that I need to be in MDI mode to do this, but I am unable to get into MDI mode because it requires that my axes are zeroed, but my Z axis won't move (that's why I'm trying to reload the parameters in the first place).

Does anyone know how to change the INPUT DEVICE settings?

You must be in MDI mode, and the memory protect key switch must be off. Display the SETTING page and cursur to the INPUT DEVICE 2 bit. Then, press the letter "P", then press INPUT. That should do it!

Thanks Dan for the super quick reply!

I will try that, but right now I can't get into MDI mode. The machine is a Wiedemann Centrum 1000. When I press the MDI button, I get an alarm message saying ZERO NOT SET. This is because I am unable to zero the T axis.

Is there a workaround to get into MDI mode without zeroing the axes?

Thanks - I have tried two different ways to put the machine into emergency mode, however it still will not go into MDI mode.

I once managed to trick the machine into thinking that the turret was zeroed, but I cannot seem to duplicate it.

    Any other ideas?

in the back cabinet you will find th OD board on this board you will find the emergency state parameter switch(esp)
this switch will allow you into MDI mode
