    Fanuc 0T-F Alarm 1003

    Hi,

We have a problem with a leadwell Eco Turn 100BM with fanuc 0T-F system.
The Alarm message 1003 means 'toll mis-index'. The Explanation in the manual says: tool number parity Check error. Do you have an idea, how we can solve this problem or what the source of the problem can be?

    Thanks for your help.

    Greetings from Germany

Maybe your tool changer has posiiton sensors that indicates a different tool position to the PLC than what is specified in diagnostics?

Thanks for your fast answer! That could be the Problem, in the diagnostic isn't any Tool namend, so i think the control doesn't know which tool is used. Is there a way to teach the control which tool is used? Or am i totally wrong?

Refer to http://www.cnczone.com/forums/fanuc/158488-fanuc_om_tool_carousel_position.html. As for the detectors, it's just a wild guess, you may have detectors for each tool holder in your magazine that send signal to your plc of presence or not of a tool, or positioning of a tool ready for tool change, etc.

After a long time we solved the problem. One of contactor of the tool changer don't work the right way from time to time... so the tool changer ends in a wrong position and the machine put out the error. Very confusing...Last week we change this contactor and the machine works fine!
