    Power Drawbar

After owning my Series 1 mill for little over a month I finished up my power draw bar and thought I would share some pics. I was very close to purchasing a Tormach Model but I thought I would go the Impact wrench route for now and see how it worked out. I'm actually surprised on how good it does work, I use a similar power draw bar on a manual machine and figured it would work on the Tormach just as well...

    Oh that's cool! Nice job.
Do you need any spindle locking, or is inertia enough?

I love that design, nice improvements over the standard prints for it.

I bought the prints and impact wrench a while back but when I saw what the impact vibration did to my $400 3D Probe needle I decided against it. For normal use though, you cant beat the price.

    well done.
