Took me 3 years to actually have enough space in my garage to build this beast but its going together pretty well.

All the drives are in and working, now on to wiring the beast!
Anyone have a walk through for the next steps in this process?

Wow...looking good!
well throwing it out at the moment is an option as I don't have the extra funds (or permission from my wife) to upgrade it, maybe down the road. For now im stuck with it.
I am on the fence about what software to use, I think I have landed on LinuxCNC as my choice (free is good) but want to see what others have to say.
Thanks for the encouragement on this, when I received all the parts and started putting it together I must admit I was a little discouraged by all the details that seemed to keep coming up but it really is pretty simple for anyone with the slightest mechanical inclination. So long as you remember to keep everything as square as possible this goes together pretty easily.
Hoping to be cutting on the machine this weekend so crack a cold one for me cause im going back to work!
have not been able to do much work on the machine the last couple days but I did manage to figure out a few things on the router carriage and get it mostly build, also started mounting the computer and control panel at the end of the machine for control.
Still hoping to get this thing functioning this weekend if possible but things have really be slowed down for me, keeping family and work life balanced is a lot harder as you get older.

Just stumbled onto your build thread. Your machine looks very good in your last post. Where are you at with it?
