    Problem Y-axis

    Hello everybody,
Dont know if I am here on the right spot for my question.
We're running a Chinese laser/ engraving machine for the last 4 years and everything is running fine until yesterday.
The controller in de front of the machine doesnt move the laser head anymore to the downside. I mean the Y-axis only moves up but when pressing the down arrow it stucks and you can hear a kind of buzzing sound..(stepper motor?)

On the other hand the head moves perfectly when SW controlled or when a patern is cut.

Any idea what it could be?...please help!

does this "buzzing sound' sounds like stalling (buzz to squeaks)? Can you help the bridge while pushing the down button. Does it move then?
Are your settings for Acceleration and speed critical high?
Do you notice any difference, Up and down, when you slide the bridge manual (while the machine is off)?
    Can you reset the controller?
Have you checked for loose wires or oxidized contacts?

    Hello Kees,

    Thanks for your reply.
It doesnt move while pressing the down button and helping the bridge. Either no sqeaking sound.
Moving it up and down when off it moves freely and normal.

About resseting the controller, I got no idea, must there be a reset button or whatever on the controller?
