Oversized wheel hub, need spacer, will this work?

I had a bunch of wheel hubs made that have a 32mm inner diameter. They need to fit on a spindle with a 30mm diameter. I was thinking of getting the below picture made to adapt it from 32mm to 30mm but was wondering if that could cause any squeeking or alignment issues or if theres a better way to do it. Also would steel be the best choice of material? Where would I be able to source this size pipe for some R&D?

Here is another pic for illustration purposes

I did not see any tolerances mentioned, but on overall dimensions, this is a fairly easy part to make on a lathe. Stick the material out enough to cut the 32 mm OD back the 58 mm. Then drill and ream the ID for the 30 mm. Then part off at the 58 mm length.

The part is trivial to make. The application is impractical to say the least. See his other thread: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/genera...e_me_part.html
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.
