Hi everyone

Ive not been on here for months so sorry if this is out of line.

My 40W laserpro mercury II is in excellent condition, other than needing a new honeycomb table, but I'm changing my raw materials and need onwards of 60W.

The 40W works well with my current 3ply/5mm plywood, but to go to more readily available, and suitable, 5ply 6mm plywood, my laser isn't quite strong enough.

Am I better off selling the laser as is or upgrading the synrad laser?

My supplier and technician has been fantastic, and are located close to us, so Im happy to stay with the same brand. I just can't spend more than $5000 on an upgrade.

What do you guys suggest? If I sell it myself, where shall I list it?
What do I need to keep in mind when looking to trade it in through my supplier?

It's a good machine , solid workhorse and for cutting , it's as fast as anything out there , slowish rastering tho...
I'm not sure you will get 75w RF - which would be a really noticeable improvement over a 60w - for $5k or less...
You could buy a 60/80w glass tubed chinese machine for that money and keep your mercury standard , have 2 machines and the best of both worlds..but not for the faint hearted...
