Save tool offsets on Mits Meldas 520AM control

We have a Mitsubishi CNC (horizontal machining center) with a Meldas 520AM controller. I have it connected to DNC and I can transfer programs in and out with no problem. My question is, how do I go about saving tool tables (offsets) on this control? Is it something I have to send via DNC, or is there a way to save the offsets in the control? ...Something I can call back up and load.

Right now we go back-and-forth between jobs and we have to delete and re-enter offsets manually (the tooling never gets torn down, but we don't have enough offset numbers to keep in the control). I'm sure there is a way to save the offsets and load them when we need them .. can anyone help?

    Thanks for any help....

If you have a good RS232 connection to the control, you can
output your tool data and parameter data as well.

On your main hard keys at the top of the keypad, you should have one
    labeled Diag IN/OUT.

Under that is the OUTPUT soft key

    choose #2 for tool data
You will need to ensure that EDIT LOCK B and EDIT LOCK C are disabled
or you will not be able to send the data.

You will need a communications software like hyperterm on your PC.

You can freely download the M500 series manuals from Mitsubishi's web:

Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to post all that information. I won't be able to try if for a few days (super hot job in machine - they won't let me touch it), I'll post back if I have any questions. I use different DNC software, so things might be a little different regarding output and input of offsets...

    Thanks again!
