    Canadian suppliers for drill rods and threaded rods

    Hey all

    I'm looking to extend the X axis of my DIY CNC. Trying to find Canadian online suppliers for drill rods and threaded rods like the ones at MSC Direct. They have great prices, but shipping from the US kills it. Any suggestions?

    SUPPLIER

    Problem is that CDN Suppliers have to pay shipping also and pass it along in their markup. Instead of drill rod, would you consider chromed shafting? I bought some 16mm dia, recently and it was reasonable. I got it from Canadian Bearings in Mississauga and cut to the length I needed. I know they have all kinds of threaded rods and roller bearings. Look up their web site, its really heavy.
