How to control A axis rotation in negative direction?

    Sherline 4-axis mill with Mach3

I ran a gcode of a 4 axis toolpath and noticed that wherever the A value decreased even a fraction of a degree, the A axis made a full revolution less the degrees of the difference.

To clarify....if the code was A310 going to A312, the rotary axis would move clockwise for just those 2 degrees (cool) but if the code was A310 going to A308, the A axis would rotate clockwise for 358 degrees.

The little test I want to run has hundreds of line with decreasing A values. How do I prevent an almost 360 degree clockwise rotation of the A axis if a 2 degree counter-clockwise rotation would do the job more efficiently?

The A axis, works correctly via keyboard input.

    EDIT: I found it. Un-tick ROT 360 ROLLOVER...Right?

As soon as I read your post I was going to suggest the 360 Rollover thing. Did that fix it for you?

To control your 4th axis, code is either A No of degrees or -A No of degrees.
As all axis use minus sign to send in oposite direction.
